Children's Lesson August 28
So it was the story from Matthew where Jesus calls Peter Satan.So to teach the kids today I started off getting a volunteer and had them go up the isle, "on their way to church this morning they found five dollars" and tossed out a five dollar bill from my pocket, my volunteer picked it up.Then I asked the rest of the kids:What would your friends want you to do with the money?What would your parents tell you to do with the money?What would God want you to do with the money?What do you choose to do with the money?The lesson being God would want you to find the owner and return it, that following God's call on our lives may not always be the easiest choice, but it is the best one.
